Biography

Dr Ajay Rathoon I is a consultant nephrologist and transplant physician based in Chennai who practices in at Chennai Urology and Robotics Institute hospital

who specialises in Kidney transplantation, Chronic kidney disease, Critical Care nephrology, Nephrotic syndrome, Acute kidney injury (AKI), hemodialysis and Peritoneal dialysis. He is additionally expert in paediatric nephrology. He performs renal biopsy and tunnelled dialysis catheter (Perm Cath). In addition to his teaching roles, he is an active researcher in the field of nephrology. He has an overall clinical experience of more than 10 yrs.

He is a reviewer in SJKDT (Saudi Journal of Kidney Disease & Transplantation) and in JCNR (Journal of Clinical Nephrology & Research). He regularly takes public lectures and has organized public awareness programs.
